Welcome to Cornerstone Community Church. We invite you to not only enjoy our website, but to also come and visit us this Sunday or Wednesday night. We offer nursery, and Bible study classes for all ages. We are located in the heart of Granbury, and are easy to find. We are the cornerstone of the community! We had a great resurrection Sunday. Between the two services we had 129 people in attendance the most we have ever had in our history! Praise be to God!! With growth there comes necessary changes that have to be made! You have probably already noticed the parking lot changes and our service change! We will have an 8 am and a 10:30 am service with Sunday school still at 9:15 am. More changes are on the way!! We are below thirty thousand dollars on our mortgage now!! The well house is going up!
However the most important changes are the changes in the people. As the church grows in numbers it is important that the congregation grows in heart and matures. There are many and will be more opportunities to serve. It takes many hands to reach people for the Kingdom. There will need to be hospitality crew for the parking lot to greet and help park cars. Ushers and greeters, media people, worship team, help with flowerbeds, children’s church helper, nursery workers and the list goes on n on. So if the Lord is pulling on your heart to do something for the kingdom do not squelch that but rather respond! Being responsive is just as important as hearing if not more!
Eph 4:12 to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up NIV Eph 2:10 For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. NIV
Here are a couple of verses that speak to the issue of our being saved to work but not by works. ! Work because of what He has done in me not because He might do something. When we work because of what He has done everyone including heaven is blessed. When I allow myself to serve from the proper motive the anointing increases not only in my life but in the others around me as well. When I do not serve with a proper motive then it is a drain and a hindrance in my life. So in conclusion it takes all of us workin hard to help the church go where God wants it too being willing to change and go with what the Lord wants for us. Change is the only constant! And the change of being prepared for God to work in men through me is the most important change!
